December 4th 2012. Christmas in Honolulu. Two stamps and a minisheet were issued on December 4th 2012 depicting Christmas in Honolulu. It is a long held tradition to have a Christmas display outside Honolulu Hale (City Hall) in downtown Honolulu. It is a very exciting display at night when all lit up. Families bring their kids to enjoy the display and lots of pictures are usually taken. Inside Honolulu Hale, kids line up to meet with Santa Claus in person. The $6 stamp (above left) prepays the Overnight rate. It shows Santa and Mrs. Claus on display during the day outside Honolulu Hale. The $9 stamp (above right) prepays the Same Day rate.It shows the tall Christmas tree at night all lit up outside Honolulu Hale. Each year the theme of adornments on the tree changes. This year, 2012, it was different colored fishes. The $9 minisheet (above) prepays the Same Day rate. It shows the Snowman and family all lit up at night outside Honolulu Hale. The special postmark for this issue (above) depicts the white-bearded face of Santa Claus. WE ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS ON ALL ORDERS
