November 4th 2013. Waikiki Views.
Three stamps in a triptych and a mini-sheet were issued on November 4th 2013 depicting Waikiki views.
The triptych is arranged as one continuous design and depicts a panoramic view of Diamond Head and Waikiki from Tantalus, a mountain which rise up behind Waikiki. The Pacific Ocean is in the background.
The $3 stamp in the triptych (above left) prepays extra charges, such as additional weight. It shows Diamond Head.
The $6 stamp in the triptych (above middle) prepays the Overnight rate. It shows the center of Waikiki.
The $9 stamp in the triptych (above right) prepays the Same Day rate. It shows the rest of Waikiki.
The $9 minisheet (above) prepays the Same Day rate. It shows a view of Waikiki Beach with Diamond Head in the background. The foreground building is the Waikiki Shores condominium. To its left, just out of the picture, is the Trump Hotel. Rising behind Waikiki Shores is the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The beach in the foreground depicts the beach at Fort DeRussy.
