Waikiki is a bustling suburb of Honolulu. High-rise Hotels, Businesses & Condominiums compete for a view of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head. It's many diverse businesses, residences and hotels were all served by Hawai'i Post until April 2014 when the service was discontinued.
Honolulu has a permanent resident population of about 870,000 people plus nearly 5 million tourists who visit the island of O'ahu each year (both 1999 figures provided by the Hawai'i Visitors & Convention Bureau).
